Daniel Wheeler is the CEO of Sunstone Trust Company as well as a director. Mr. Wheeler brings 23 years of experience advising and assisting banks and investment advisers on their most important opportunities and challenges. He was in a management position at the international law firm of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP and oversaw that firm’s U.S. financial technology team of over 40 lawyers. He implemented innovative service offerings at the firm, increasing revenues and profits every year. He has demonstrated skill in client relationships and business development.
Mr. Wheeler brings to Sunstone Trust Company decades of experience in complying with banking laws and regulation, especially in the BSA / AML area. He is skilled in delegating responsibility and ensuring oversight and accountability of his subordinates. His mission at Sunstone Trust Company is to execute the business objectives set forth in a safe and sound manner and up to the highest standards of legal compliance and integrity. He is a licensed attorney in the State of California.
Sunstone is a trust company chartered by the State of California (Certificate of Authority No. 2676). Sunstone is also a member of the Association of Trust Organizations, the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater Irvine Chamber.
