John Shen Joins City of Irvine Innovation Council

Irvine Farrah N. Khan N. Khan, along with representatives from local business, education, and government, launched an Innovation Council to secure the City of Irvine’s position as a technology and innovation hub.

The #Innovation Council will develop a multifaceted Strategic & Action plan for attracting, retaining, and supporting high-growth technology businesses and will work to define specific actions needed to help position Irvine as a regional hub of innovation and technology. In particular, there will be a focus on pipeline programming to encourage innovation at local schools.

The Innovation Council is comprised of entrepreneurs and educators including John Shen, STC Chairman of The Board and Principal, Sunstone Management, Inc.; Adam Carrillo, CEO, Partake Collective; as well as leaders from CerraCap Ventures, Chapman University, Edwards Lifesciences, FivePoint Holdings, LLC, Google, Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce, KW Capital Partners, Masimo, Microsoft, Octane, Orange County Business Council, Sustain SoCal, UCI Beall Applied Innovation @ the Cove, and UC Irvine.
